  • MR. IBU And Other Nollyood Stars Storms Praise And Worship Fiesta
  • Amazing Grace Pentecostal Church in collaboration with Nollywood Prayer Group held a praise and worship fiesta on Saturday 28th April 2018, with the theme; "Burdens are Lifted,Yokes are Broken.

    The epoch making event happened at the church headquarters 1, Bakare Avenue Beside Keystone Bank, Palmgrove, Shomolu, Lagos State.

    The church auditorium which was completely filled to capacity with over a thousand participants. The "none-early birds" made do with the extension space provided outside the auditorium where they watched the programme from several television screens from noon till evening, with awesome praise and worship sessions, dances,comedies and great prophetic declarations on display.

    The red carpet which was hosted by Evangelist Mike Uwak had notable figures such as: (Bishop Dr. Chioma Grace Dauji), Prince Ifeanyi Dike, Mr Ibu, Segun Arinze, Evangelist Taylor, Kennis Okeke, Agnes Ada Molokwu, Deborah Salami, Tochi Okoli, Mc CG, Mrs Sylvia Esajere, Amazing Kingsley, Uche Simeon and other artists that featured were The Revolution Dance Group, Vicostar, Halleluyah Praise Team, Evangelist Praise, Marachy Crew, Band of Solid Rock, Awesome Crew, Dominion Voices of New Testament Church and other important dignitaries. 

    The event which was anchored by "Sabi Girl" of (AIT) and "Arewa" started with a wonderful and spirit filled praise and worship session led by the host Choir ( Angelic Voices of A.G.P.C) after which the Anchors settling the ball rolling with rib cracking jokes.

    Convener of the event Prince Ifeanyi Dike gave the welcome speech where he revealed the health challenges facing Nollywood stars in recent time. He concluded by testifying about how God saved his life after battling two (2) kidney transplants hence, the need for Nollywood gathering in God's presence for Him to put an end to these terrible happenings in the industry.

    The high point of the event was when Nollywood superstar John Okafor also known as "MR IBU" mounted the stage to so much laughter and cheers. He thrilled the audience with rib cracking jokes and also sounded a note of warning to Christians who pray against actors and actresses as obstacles to other people. He further warned such to desist from obstructing others so their prayers would be answered in their favour.

    Nollywood veteran who was present in church, Segun Arinze gave a piece of advice to the Nollywood stars to keep up the good work and never relent on their efforts while pleading with Nigerians to keep praying and supporting their own.

    Speaking at the programme, the  General Overseer of Amazing Grace Pentecostal Church Worldwide, Bishop Grace Chioma Dauji said that God has been faithful to the church and this praise and worship fiesta was organized to draw people closer to God, evangelizing and to listen to good music that lifts the soul and also pray together with the Nollywood prayer group to put an end to disheartening loss of Nollywood stars in recent times.

    She further made declarations against the causes of untimely death in the industry.

    Also speaking after the praise and worship fiesta, The Choir Mistress of the church, Mrs Silvia Esajere affirmed that the praise fiesta was a huge success and it was well attended. Adding that "I really thank the Almighty God who showed Him self stronger and everyone present were blessed"

    The event remains memorable in the heart of all the attendees to the glory of God. The Actors, Actresses, Music Ministers, Dance Crews, and Comedians, presented amazingly while every eye expectantly look forward for a greater glory in 2019
