Reportnaija : Let's meet you?
Am Prince Adebiyi Adebola Oguntimilehin aka Leo Wonder. The Omo oba odo of Ipetu Ijesha Osun state Nigeria!
Reportnaija : Many people wonder if you are related to Steve Wonder in any way. What's the story behind the name?
lol First things first, i adore the
artiste Stevie Wonder but trust me that actually has nothing to do
with my being Called Leo Wonder. I adopted the name Leo off my zodiac
sign cause i actually fall to the Lion zodiac sign which is the Leo
and of the wonder, where-ever i tend to go perform and entertain i
always have people commend me by saying Wow! you've got a wonderful
voice so i decided to put 1 and 2 together and the name Leo Wonder was
born.
Reportnaija : You feature on Tiwa Savage's 'Ife wa Gbona' endeared you to the hearts of the Nigerian audience. Was that your first musical endeavor or had u been singing before then?
Well lets just say the Ife Wa Gbona
feature with the adorable Sisi Tiwa was what actually put me on the
faces of Nigerians and Africans as a whole Big time. I have been
singing for a very long time now, i actually started from a very
tender age and if am allowed to be more specific i'll say have been
singing since age 8. Having been influenced by the likes of the
Greats: King sunny ade, Ebenezer Obey, Kollington, Adewale ayuba,
Junior and pretty, Paul play diaro, Ojb and so may more great
musicians out there.
Reportnaija : How has the music industry treated you?
Hmmm that question he get as
he take be oh lol but on the real though its been 50% Love and 50% you know the rest...but that's how it is in every field of work you find
yourself so lets just say i have been prepared already.
ReportNaija : Are you on any label? Indie artiste at the moment but still in talking terms with a couple of record companies, just hoping for the
best at the end of the day.
Reportnaija : What do you have lined up as related to your music career?
Trust me a whole lot but ama take it a step at a time...but between you guys, the world and myself: I have got a whole lot to say and offer, all in
due time. God willing!
Reportnaija : What inspires your music?
alot actually...my environment, my state of mind, love, real life experiences: good or bad and the energy and love i get from the hood.
Reportnaija : Are there other things you do other than music?
Its me music and more music actually...that's the air i breathe and what i live for on the real! By the side am also a fashion designer but i would let that rest for now till the brand and name Leo Wonder becomes an house hold one.
ReportNaija :What is your past-time like?
If you know my story you would be happy for who and where i am right now in my career, I rarely talk about the past cause just as its being called: its the past. so lets focus on
the present and what the future got in stock.
ReportNaija : What should we expect from the wonderful Leo in the very near future? Alot trust me but i'll let time tell...We already embarked on
the ROAD TO THE LEO WONDER official single campaign, that is to say
the world should be expecting my official single or singles any time
from now.
ReportNaija : You have a very remarkable voice. Does it take extra efforts to maintain or is it a natural thing?
Its a natural gift from God. Am
just a servant doing God's will...Ise orin ni ori ran mi
ReportNaija : What are your views about the Nigerian music factory as it today?
its a gradual process and we are getting there gradually.
ReportNaija : What do you have to say to your fans, what should they expect?
Keep loving and supporting the Brand, name and music of Leo Wonder...and always expect top notch materials from me cause it can only get better and better! Thanks and God bless.
