  • Mourinho Predicts Tough EPL Season
  • Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said that the Premier League title will not be a two-horse race between the London club and Manchester City.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of his side's match against Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday the Portuguese refuted suggestions that only two teams were in with a chance of winning the league.
"This is a very difficult league; any one of the six sides can lose points. I don't know in this league if to draw is to lose two points or if it is to get one, because it's a difficult thing, a difficult
opponent. But this weekend out of the six five managed to get the three points."
Chelsea host an Aston Villa side buoyed by their opening 3-1 victory at Arsenal and Mourinho is expecting a tough match as they seek to build on
Sunday's 2-0 win over Hull City.
Mourinho said he had sympathy for Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew, who said that the transfer window should close before the
season starts after choosing to leave out Yohan Cabaye after the midfielder was the subject of a transfer bid from Arsenal.
The Europa League holders have been monitoring unsettled Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney's situation all summer and despite his feelings about the transfer window
Mourinho said he will work until the end of it to bring in one more player before it closes.
