Notorious Cultist Apprehended By Security Operatives In Benin City

Upon information received, Police Operatives on 26th August, 2015 at about 2:50am stormed house No. 24 Utomwen Street Benin City, where a 25yr-old man suspected to be a cultist was apprehended. A Search warrant was executed in the said house, one Pump Action gun and one locally-made cut-to-size gun were recovered from the arrested suspect. Suspect is linked to cult related activities in the area, efforts to apprehend other accomplices are being intensified. State CIID Benin City is investigating


Meanwhile, on 28th August, 2015 at about 2:00am, Police patrol teams were dispatched to a scene of robbery at Zenith Bank Omoku where armed robbers were trying to break into the Bank’s ATM. A shootout ensued between the Police and the hoodlums upon arrival of Police at the scene. Hoodlums fled the scene with gunshot injuries abandoning one pump action gun, two gas cylinders and one big hammer. All abandoned exhibits recovered to the police station.Nothing was stolen by the hoodlums, efforts to apprehend the suspects are being intensified. State CIID Port-Harcourt is investigating.
