A group of breeders in China are having a trial of making pigs listening
to the country’s traditional music, believing that a better taste in
music for pigs may lead to a better taste in their meat. Photos taken
on Oct 16 show a girl playing Zheng, a traditional Chinese musical
instrument, in front of herds of pigs at a breeding base of Beijing
University of Agriculture.
According to Beijing Morning News, the breeders think that by doing so, the pigs may remain in a happy mood, which may improve the quality of their meat. Though the theory is yet to prove valid, the pigs, on the other hand, seem to have enjoyed the music.
