A bomb explosion targeting a bus carrying members of the president’s
elite security guards has killed at least 12 people in the Tunisian
capital on Tuesday. President Beji Caid Essebsi has declared a 30-day
state of emergency and imposed a curfew in Tunis, calling the blast a
“cowardly terrorist act.” So far, no one has claimed responsibility for
the blast.
