Children of police officers were recently awarded scholarships, the
first of its kind of the Nigeria Police Force... According to the NPF,
the Foundation is envisioned as an official intervention scheme that
could support the attainment of the educational desires of children and
wards of junior cadre officers in particular , and other senior police
officers in general.
It is also aimed at reducing the temptation to engage in corrupt
practices propelled by the negative urge of policemen to meet the
financial requirements for the provision of quality eduction for their
