Former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo this evening
arrived the Makurdi Airport for a 3 days visit to Benue. The former
president who is currently a Ph.D student of University of Mkar, Mkar is
expected to stay in Benue for 3 days to receive lectures and interact
with his project supervisor Revd. Dr. Stephen Tachin (State SUBEB
chairman).
The former president was received at the Airport by the Chief of Staff
to the Governor of Benue State mr. Terwase Orbunde, Commissioner for
Industry, Trade and Investment Dr. Tersoo Kpelai, that of education,
prof. Dennis Tyavyar, Health, Mrs. Cecilia Ojabo, Advisor on Special
duties, Arch. Joe Ikyaagba, SUBEB chairman, Revd. Dr. Stephen Tachin and
other top Government functionaries.
The former president proceeded straight to the Benue People's House
where he is expected to meet with His Excellency, Dr. Samuel Ortom who
is expected to be back in Makurdi this evening.
