China's first home-grown large amphibious drone passed test flight in
east China earlier this month. The drone is expected to be used in
military and civilian fields such as reconnaissance and maritime search
and rescue. With a body length of 6 meters and a wingspan of 12 meters,
the UAV can fly 15 hours non-stop after a full refuel, and can reach as
far as 2,000 kilometers when facilitated with satellite communications
equipments. It can take off and land in various complex conditions.
