A man is being hailed as a hero after he took his daughter's place as she lay dying from electrocution in the pool.

Jim Tramel, a father-of-three died on Easter Sunday saving his daughter, nine, from being electrocuted in a pool.
NBC reports that Californian dad was at a family gathering in Palm Springs when he noticed his nine-year-old daughter was getting shocked while swimming in a pool.
Witnesses say his daughter was turning blue so Tramel jumped in to save her, managing to drag her to the side of the pool. He died later in hospital.
Police said his daughter, who has not been named, remains in a critical condition.
A 6-year-old boy, an 8-year-old girl and a 45-year-old woman were all treated and released from the hospital Sunday for related injuries.
Authorities are investigating how the incident happened but believe it was due to faulty pool wiring.
