Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor's alleged plot to rig the forthcoming Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) national presidential election in favour of his preferred candidate, has resulted in crisis which has engulfed the leadership of CAN across States and churches.

According to SaharaReporters, Pastor Oritsejafor and his henchmen have been engaging in maneuvering age-old electoral traditions of the CAN, according to our correspondent.

The publication also reported that he has plotted to undermine the electoral college by way of inviting an additional 32 church leaders with whom he will hold a strategic meeting on Friday morning in Abuja.

It was gathered that Oritsejafor fears that his successor may probe him and expose acts of corruption in the association under his watch.

Meanwhile, a prominent Christian leader in Nigeria who spoke on the condition of anonymity said that men and women of conscience will fight Oritsejafor and his men to the end, ensuring that the leadership is decided by a fair, democratic process.
