The clip, filmed on a mobile phone shows a woman lying on the ground in a street in Philadelphia as a shirtless man launches blow after blow at her face and body.

People can be seen watching and filming the brutal scenes.

The video, shared on Fresco News, is said to have prompted a police investigation







Speaking to a local news channel, the man who filmed the footage said the beating lasted for between 20 and 30 minutes - but no one intervened.
