  • Apapa Iganmu Council boss advocates cleaner environment

  • The Sole Administrator of Apapa Iganmu Local Council Development Area, Mr. Olumide Olayomi has urged residents of the council to complement the efforts of the State Government in maintaining a cleaner and healthier environment through clearing of drains and their surroundings.
    The Council boss stated this while inspecting compliance with the June edition of the State monthly environmental sanitation in the area, he implored the citizens to imbibe good attitude towards the environment considering the intensity of downpour in recent time.







    “I want to implore the residents of Apapa Iganmu LCDA to ensure continuous clearing of drains and their environment in order to prevent flooding during the rainy season, especially with the intensity of rainfall being experienced in the State presently,” Olayomi added.
    Residents of Apapa Iganmu were also urged to desist from dumping refuse into drains or erecting illegal structures across drainage channels, stressing that the full wrath of the law would be enforced on all offenders.
    He solicited for the support of residents in making the Council area an enviable place among other Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas in environmental friendliness.
    While enjoining residents to buy into Governor Ambode's vision of a cleaner, healthier and more esthetic environment, the Sole Administrator promised to give the Council a facelift within the available resources of the Council, while also promising to judiciously manage both human and capital resources for the interest of all.
