
Governor Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar has charged all Sons and Daughters of Bauchi State who are holding various positions at the Federal Level to collaborate with the state government so as to achieve the desired socioeconomic development in the state.
The Governor stated this to the participants of a fast breaking dinner organised by the Bauchi State government held at the Bauchi State Governor's Lodge Abuja.
He said their support and useful advice would assist positively towards taking the state to greater heights. Governor Abubakar also used the forum to brief the participants about some of the achievements of his Government so far recorded within the period one year which include the construction of access roads in some parts of the state, the ongoing construction of Primary Health Care Centres across the 20 local government areas of the state, construction of boreholes in all the 20 LGAs and the improvement of Education in both primary and tertiary institutions in the state.
The Governor further stated that his administration is ready to receive useful advice that would promote the image and the development of Bauchi state.
He therefore assured them that despite the dwindling resources, his Government will soon embark on total renovation of primary schools aimed at providing good and qualitative education to children of Bauchi state. During the dinner, Governor Muhammed Abubakar, inaugurated a six man lobby committee to see the actualization of the North East Development Commission Headquarters to be established in Bauchi. The Committee is to be chaired by the Honorable Minister of Education Malam Adamu Adamu. Other members of the committee include Air vice Marshall Sadiq Abubakar, Hajiya Ladi Katagum, Barrister Kefas Magaji, Alhaji Yahaya Yusuf, and Nigeria Customs boss Colonel Hamid Ali (rtd).
The Governor also used the forum to congratulate them over their appointments into various offices at the Federal government. In their separate remarks the participants assured their commitment to support and collaborate with the state government in order to achieve its set objectives. Some of the dignitaries attended the event include Malam Adamu Adamu Minister of Education, Air Vice Marshal Saddique Abubakar Chief of Air Staff, Danladi Umar Chairman Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), Hajiya Ladi Katagum, Barrister Kefas Magaji, Alhaji Yahaya Yusuf and other top Federal Government officials.
