Governor of Bauchi state Mohammed A. Abubakar went to Sokoto to personally pay a condolence visit to the Shinkafi family today, the Sokoto Sultanate and the Sokoto State government for losing one of their illustrious son.
The late Umaru Shinkafi was one who gave his best days to the service of our country. He was one who was willing to put himself out to serve his countrymen. The Marafan Sokoto was one who helped deepen our democracy.At a time when we are making giants strides in the area of security, we remember the contributions of Shinkafi to our present security architecture which dates back to its foundations.
The government and people of Bauchi offer condolences to the Shinkafi family and the good people of Sokoto. We pray God grants them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
