Nollywood actor, Femi Branch has lashed out at people who have been giving the wrong impression about what the body, Nollywood entails.
The Ogun state star who has been in the movie industry since 1991 as a student, was reacting to a video that shows, Facebook boss, Mark Zuckerberg getting introduced to Nollywood artistes, that showed, Yemi Alade, Dj Cuppy, Chidinma, Basketmouth and others..
In a post on social media, 46-year-old Femi said he was pissed off at the way Nigerians represent themselves to foreigners.
In his words;
"Was really pissed off at the way we misrepresent ourselves to foreigners sometimes. Imagine this fellow saying "Here we have all the major Artistes"
?? Seriously?!?! These are all the major stars in Nollywood?!?! And are Yemi Alade, Chidinma, Basketmouth and Co Nollywood Artistes?!?! This is really idiotic to say the least!!!Nollywood means the Nigerian Movie industry, which comprises all screen Actors and practitioners in Nigeria. It does not mean the Nigerian Entertainment industry, which Nollywood itself belongs to. We should be more careful when presenting such vital information to foreigners so they don't leave confused."
