Arsenal ladies footballer Asisat Oshoala has revealed that she and her
fellow Super Falcons teammates are not under pressure to win the
upcoming African Women's Cup of Nations tournament to hold in Cameroon
this November and that the team won't disappoint Nigerians at the show
piece event.
Nigeria won a record ninth
AWCON title in Windhoek, Namibia in 2014, the same year Oshoala was
named the African Women's Footballer of the Year.
"We
are currently rebuilding a new team under a new coach and I believe
we're more like the underdogs going into the tournament, which makes us
more free to express ourselves on the pitch," Oshoala, 22, told
Completesportsnigeria magazine.
"The coach is gradually instilling her ideas on the team and I'm confident we will not disappoint."
