Why I Decided To Produce My Own Movies — Actor, Jnr Pope

After starring in several hit movies and bagging numerous awards, multi-talented Nollywood actor, Jnr Pope Odonwodo is set to join the ever growing list of film producers in the country with his first movie titled, 'Irreversible'

The self acclaimed Nollywood bad boy in a chat with Top Gist Nigeria Blog explained why he decided to go into movie production after years of acting, what the movie is all about and why it's different from the contemporary Nigeria movie, among others.

On why he choose to go into production, the father of two said;

I decided to go into producing cause of so many reasons and one of such is making sure I tell my story the perfect way I deem fit. Not omitting anything and being able to have my audience at the edge of their seats.

On the movie Irreversible he explained that;

Irreversible is about revenge being served cold. The pain and pleasure of sex. 

Adding that; “everyone out there thinks he or she can now predict what happens in Nollywood movies but I tell them not this one. This is a movie that will keep you mouth agape as the surface of the movie peels off. My fans do know my pedigree, I have been able to give them hits back to back for over the years now, and believe you me I AM NOT GOING TO STOP. The revolution has just begun.

The movie which stars talented Nollywood acts like; Jnr Pope, Mary Igwe, Mccathy Nonwani, Sharon Francis,Jenny Gaga, Lilly Stan, Chinwe Eboh among others, was shot in over seven days. According to the first time producer; “I wasn't in a hurry cause I wanted the best from my cast.”

Irreversible which hits the cinemas Nationwide soon, promises to be a MUST WATCH and RE-WATCHABLE for everyone.

On the challenges he faced while producing the movie, Mr Pope said;

“Well nothing basically, I should say God was on my side. Everything working accordingly.. The cast and crew were very cooperative.”
