While
some are saying that SaharaReporters are making a mockery of
journalism, others are saying it's a sponsored political witch-hunt, but
whatever it is, the media war between Senator Dino Melaye and the news
platform, has taken a new twist.
Popular online news platform, SaharaReporters, has taken their
media war against the outpoken senator representing Kogi West Senatorial
District, Dino Melaye, to a whole new level.
The controversial news platform in a shocking Tweet posted on their
account (@SaharaReporters), alleged that the All Progressives Congress
(APC) chieftain, stole a television set during his University days in
Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.
SaharaReporters went further and alleged that Dino Melaye was
reportedly impeached as President of National Association of Geography
Students because he stole their brand new TV set.
"FLASH: Classmates of @dino_melaye said he was impeached as
Pres of National Assoc of Geography Students because he stole their
brand new TV," SR tweeted.
Recall that we reported earlier
that the Kogi state lawmaker on Thursday afternoon, filed a N5 billion
libel suit against the online news platform, for alleging that he didn't
graduate from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
It was gathered that the Senator was taking the legal action
against the organisation for alleged defamation of character, wrongful
accusation, among other charges at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
