President Buhari Does Have a Certificate Scandal - Jonathan's Ex-Media Aide

Former BBC broadcaster, Reno Omokri has again attacked President Buhari on his alleged certificate scandal.

Former aide to Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on electronic media, Pastor Reno Omokri has said that President Muhammadu Buhari does have a certificate scandal against him contrary to claims by the presidency that he does not.

 

Omokri gave the statement on Tuesday. According to him, “If he(Buhari) does not, how come he hired 13 Senior Advocates of Nigeria to defend him in a case brought to compel him to provide certificate or proof that he has one…?”

 

Recall that a popular newspaper listed names of some top Nigerian politicians including President Buhari, former President Goodluck Jonathan and the Ekiti state Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose among others it said have certificate scandals.

 

Recall also that the presidency and both the ex-President Jonathan and Governor Fayose have all debunked the claim, saying they don’t have any certificate scandal on them.

 

But Pastor Omokri, however reiterated that although he is not inferring that President Buhari does not have a GCE certificate, rather, what he is simply saying is that Mr. Buhari does have a certificate scandal against him.

 

“The Presidency is being clever by half by saying that President Muhammadu Buhari like Dino Melaye, is not involved in a certificate scandal. That is patently dishonest. President Buhari DOES have a certificate scandal.

 

“If he does not, how come he hired 13 Senior Advocates of Nigeria to defend him in a case brought to compel him to provide certificate or proof that he has one, including one SAN, Kola Awodein, who gave a ‘gift’ of N500k to Justice Ademola, the judge handling the case against the President, at a time the case was pending before him!

 

"A man that has no certificate scandal will simply produce the original certificate or if it is lost he will apply to the University of Cambridge International Examinations for a Certified True Copy of his results.”

 

“You do not need to defend the truth with 13 SANs. The truth will defend itself. Now, don’t get me wrong. I am not saying that Buhari has no GCE Certificate. I don’t know if he has or doesn’t have. What I am saying is that he HAS a certificate scandal!”
