absence of Buhari.
VP Osinbajo
President Muhammadu Buhari, was nowhere to be found during today's
meeting of the Federal Executive Council at the presidential villa,
Abuja.
However, the meeting is being presided over by Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.
The reason for Buhari's absence is not made known yet, and it is
not yet ascertain whether the president will later join the meeting as
at the time of filing this report.
While cabinet members are expected to brief state journalists on
the outcome of the meeting, this is the first time the president will be
absent at the weekly FEC meeting since he returned to Nigeria from his
medical vacation in London on March 10.
He had then said he would return to London for further check-ups.
