Man cries out for justice after a trigger happy operative of the Nigerian Police shot his mother to death while trying to shoot at some 'Yahoo Boys' in Lagos.
A Nigerian Twitter user identified as Chidi Okereke (@Chydee) took to the social media platform and reported how a trigger-happy officer of the Nigerian Police, shot and killed a woman on Tuesday evening in the Onipanu toll gate area of Mushin, Lagos.
He posted the deceased's photo on social media and wrote; "This woman was shot by policemen stationed at Onipanu Toll Gate. I'm going to the closest police station with them."
Another Twitter user called Olorunloye tweeted that the woman was his mom and that the policeman was chasing internet fraudsters popularly called ‘yahoo boys’ when the incident happened.
According to Olorunloye, on getting to the police station, they were asked to come back today. He demanded justice and sent out several frantic tweets, including tweeting at the Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, calling for intervention in the matter.
