  • Amazing Grace Penticostal Church Youth And Teens Hold Seminar/Debate


  • Social media have become prominent parts of life for many young people today and around the world, billions of us use social media every day in our personal relationships, for entertainment, at work, in church and in our studies and that number just keeps growing.

    Moreover, Most people engage with social media without stopping to think or reflecting on what its effects are on our lives, whether positive or negative because of our growing love for this platform. The truth of the matter is that the benefits of social media are many but require judicious and responsible use to be enjoyed.

    In line with beaming a fundamental searchlight on the above subject matter, Amazing Grace Penticostal Church Worldwide, Palmgrove, Shomolu, Lagos Nigeria, recently held a Seminar/Debate at the church auditorium tagged "Social Media: Is it A Social Solution Or Disaster?"


    The seminar was great,fun filled, impactful, educating, informative and very interesting as God's people gathered in God's presence to "learn at His Feet". The seminar had in attendance, youths, teens, Men and women(both young and old) ably led by the ever gracious and anointed Host, Bishop Dr (Mrs) Chioma Grace Dauji.


    The power packed and impactful event started with spirit filled praise and worship rendered by the Teens choir. The seminar/debate had its representatives from both fronts, the teens were duely represented by Brother Victory Solomon, Brother Kehinde Akinpelu, Sister Grace Oladipupo and Chinonzo Nnamdi while the youths were represented by Brother Seun Lawal, Brother Uwem Etuk and Sister Adaeze Eze.


    The teens spoke about the benefits of social media with wonderful points like; Connectivity,Education,Awareness,Publicity, Information,Updates,Business,Public health care, Marketing,Communication and Politics.  On the other hand, the youths spoke about the disaster of social media with points like; Peer pressure,Addiction,lazy thinking,Exposure/Vulnerability,Crisis aggravation,Reduction of self esteem,Identity theft,Misinformation and has crippled existing family bonds by taking over the role of the family in instilling value.


    The lead speakers for both the Teens and Youths in person of Brother Victory Solomon and Brother seun Lawal gave a wonderful insight on the subject. The co-speakers were not left out as they also contributed immensely to further buttress the points mentioned by the lead speakers

    Further contributions were made by the founder of Amazing Grace Penticostal Church, Bishop Dr(Mrs) Grace chioma Dauji  which was the facilitator and the Special Guest Mrs Nnoye Ayeni, the Teens and Youth Co-ordinators were not left out in person of Dec joy Nwadubasim, Minister Idongesit Frank Okafor and Mrs Susan Omosa.

    The ever vibrant and lively audience was not left out as questions and contributions were thrown to the debaters and the glorious gathering came to a close with Benediction from the Bishop.
