  • EKSUTH Doctors Give Fayose 21 Day Ultimatum for Owing 6 Months Salaries
  • It has emerged that health workers in Ekiti are being owed six months salaries by Mr. Fayose just as he kickstarts his presidential election campaign ahead of 2019.

The association of resident doctors Ekiti State Teaching Hospital has given the state government 21 day strike ultimatum for the non payment of their salaries for 6months.

This decision was taken after the emergency general meeting held on 15th September 2017 in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti. The doctors say they can no longer sustain industrial harmony with the government owing them 6 months backlog of salaries.

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti has been accused of diverting the bail out funds given to the state by the Federal Government to cater for the salaries of civil servants in the South-western state.

Read some excerpts from the circular released:

"Arising from the EGM held today 15/09/2017, the Association has decided to issue a 21-day ultimatum (starting from today 15/09/2017) in view of the unpaid six Months' salary arrears.

Members will subsequently reconvene after the expiration of the 21 days to make further decisions"
