  • Man impersonating Buhari’s S.A Femi Adesina, bags 8 year jail sentence
  • Christian Efe Oyovweyho, a fraudster who impersonated the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, and attempted to dupe a Bayero University don, Prof. Galadanci , of N300,000, was handed an 8 year jail sentence today by Justice Z.B. Abubakar of the Federal High Court Kano.

Christian was found guilty of a 2-count charge that borders on conspiracy and attempt to obtain under false pretense, and sentenced to 4 years imprisonment on each. He was dragged to court by Prof. Galadanci, who he sent a text message sometime in July 2016, claiming to be Femi Adesina, SA to the president on Media and Publicity, and offering him a nonexistent appointment in the Presidency.

The convicted suspect claimed that the name of the professor has been forwarded for appointment in the presidency, and a search for a better office had already begun. He then asked the professor to pay N300,000 in order to facilitate his appointment to one of Nigeria Port Authority, Nigerian Railway Cooperation and Rural Electrification Agency.
At that point, the professor got suspicious and reported the matter to EFCC
