Plateau PDP Chairman and his driver abducted by gunmen along Kafanchan-Abuja highway

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Wednesday evening, abducted the PDP Chairman in Plateau State, Damishi Sango on the Kafanchan- Abuja high way.

Sango was said to have left Jos around 2pm en route to Abuja for the party's National Convention when the incident happened.

According to reports, the gunmen forced  the PDP chairman's car to a stop, later abandoned the Jeep on the road and whisked him and his driver to an unknown destination.

The State Publicity Secretary of the PDP Plateau State John Akans, who confirmed the incident with in Jos on Thursday, called on the security agencies to ensure unconditional and safe release of Sango and his driver.
