The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris has arrived Benue
state this morning following an order by President Muhammadu Buhari. The
police boss was received by the AIG in charge of Zone 4, Makurdi and
other principal officers.

There was a parade in honour of the IGP who according to President Buhari’s order would remain in the state until he put a stop to the herdsmen attack in the state.
According to reports, the IG moved to Benue state with five units of riot policemen making a total of 10 units deployed in the state, in addition to other police contingents and special forces on the ground.
