    Here is the breakdown and details of the Lagos state N1.15 trillion 2021 Budget Estimates titled: BUDGET OF REKINDLED HOPE, which was presented by state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

    Full breakdown of 2021 N1.15 trillion Lagos state budget

    The 2021 budget is centered on advancing the T.H.E.M.E.S agenda of the State Government and expected to rekindle hope in the state on the implementation of its content.

    However, during the presentation of the budget, Governor Sanwo-Olu announced his intention through the executive bill, to repeal the Public Office Holder (Payment of Pension Law 2007), which provides for payment of pension & other entitlements to former Governors and their deputies.

    Health – N118.3 Billion

    Agriculture – N18.3 Billion

    Infrastructure (Works) – N172.2 Billion

    Transportation – N98.9 Billion

    Waterfront – N11.7 Billion

    Environment – N50.9 Billion

    Drainage – N11.9 Billion

    Tourism, Arts & culture – N6 Billion

    Commerce – N41.9 Billion

    Energy – N32.5 Billion

    Recreation and Culture – N5.1 Billion

    Housing and Community Sector – N40.2 Billion

    The human development MDAs comprising the Ministries of Education, Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Wealth Creation, (including @LSETF) and SDGI.

    The Cumulative budgetary provision towards Human capital development effort from these MDAs total is N148.57 billion.

    EXTRA(s):

    – Focus on the rise of substance abuse among youths

    – Youth mentoring, mental health support, and substance abuse rehabilitation

    – Enforcement of Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) registration

    – Enforcement of Physical Planning rules- Increase the size of the Lagos Neighborhood Safety Coprs (LNSC) with more training.

    – LightUp Lagos initiative

    – More funding for @LSETF
