  • Omah Lay and Tems finally return to Nigeria
  • Omah Lay and Tems have finally returned home after the singers were arrested for flouting COVID-19 guidelines in Uganda.

    A Chief Magistrate Court in Uganda had on December 15, dropped the charges against Nigerian singers, Omah Lay and Tems.

    The singers were arrested on Sunday, December 13, and charged for breaking the COVID-19 guidelines following an illegal concert at Ddungu resort in Munyonyo.

    The singer’s were also arraigned before the Makinye division court on Monday, December 14 and remanded till Wednesday, December 16.

    Their arrival was announced by Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission.

    According to her, the singers landed at the MMIA Lagos from Uganda via Ethiopia Airline at about 12:35 pm local time.

    She also thanked officials of the Nigerian mission in Uganda, Nigeria’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama and the Ugandan government for the quick resolution of the issue.
