  • OAU graduate Blaq Bonez says: "University made me feel like a failure"
  •

    Nigerian rapper and graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Blaq Bonez, has recalled how his days in the university made him feel like a failure.

    The graduate of engineering said while others were getting As and having a future that looked bright, he was dropping mixtapes and hoping it got to public space.

    Expressing gratitude for how far he has come, Blaq Bonez added that he almost got depressed and didn’t know how he would have taken care of his mother if he wasn’t successful in music.

    He concluded by stating that his “serious friends” in school are also doing well in their respective fields.

    He wrote;

    my serious friends in school are doing well in their respective fields rn, we all made choices and dedicated our lives to it, and its paying off

    When i see niggas reading overnight all the time at Law 201 hall, I’d be asking myself what am I doing with my life like this? I can answer now, i was laying a foundation

    really grateful for how far I’ve come. I don’t know who would have been taking care of my mum if this music didn’t work

    university made me feel like a failure, niggas were getting As and future looking bright, i was dropping mixtapes and hoping notjustokay would post it
