Orubebe Declares membership for APC After Dumping PDP
Former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe has officially signed the APC membership register in his Tuomo Ward Three in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.
Recall that Orubebe, a key minister during the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, recently left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over skirmishes that trailed the recent presidential primary election that produced former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as flagbearer.
Orubebe was also famed for openly opposing the collation of presidential results after the 2015 general elections.
He promised to work with all members of the party without discrimination.
Speaking earlier, the APC chairman in the LGA Mr. Nana said that entry of Orubebe was a good omen for the party saying that party has been more or less an orphan or sheep without a Shepherd.
Among dignitaries present during the occasion were former Commissioner of Transport in Delta State, Barrister Bosin Ebikeme, business mogul, Chief Clement Moni; APC State Financial Secretary, Mr. Theodore Ezonfade; Ambassador Felix Datuowei; Barrister Dickson Bekederemo and many others.
