    On the 1st of January 2023, a candle night was held in honour of Etsu Kwali, a deceased ruler of the kwali people. 



    The candle night was held at the round about, Kwali, Abuja and youths poured out their hearts in respect to His royal highness Dr. Amb. Audu shaaban Nizazo III. 


    Everyone dressed all black, this idea was brought up by vibrant youth of the community, active because of the Etsu kwali's legacy.

    PROFILE OF HRH THE ETSU KWALI ALH DR AMB SHABAN AUDU NIZAZO III THE 13TH ETSU OF KWALI


    BIO DATA

    HRH. Alh Dr Amb Shaban Audu Nizazo III was born on 10th October, 1956 to the royal family of Alima Nizazo Kwali, FCT - Abuja.

    He was resourceful, a philanthropist, a man of transparent honesty, a distinguished academician, an indefatigable achiever, a lover of truth, a seasoned administrator and a diligent worker. He is a man that is naturally loved and admired by people, a pivot of mass mobiliser, a man who achieves greatness through assiduous, self - will and sheer determination. He is a man who has kept his own words, overcoming the odds and intimidation of life to become source of inspiration to many. A man who determine from the onset that nothing short of the best is good for him and who consistently paid the price of greatness. He is a man who has been at the forefront of the rising profile of traditional rulers in our contemporary society.

    His insatiable thirst for knowledge and desire to be an accomplished man, made him attended the following schools:

    He was called by his people to become the 13th Etsu of Kwali on 8th September, 1997. He was a second Class Chief and the Chairman Council of Chiefs Kwali Area Council FCT Abuja. He was happily married to 2 wives with 12 children and grand - children. It is on record that his time as the Etsu of Kwali, Kwali is replete with huge developmental stride which has benefited the people of Kwali town and the entire Kwali Area Council.



    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

    He was saddled with many other ADHOC responsibilities, patron and Grand patron of many associations.

    AWARDS: He received over fifty (50) different awards from various organisations during his life time. He was conferred with Honorary Doctorate Degree by American University. He was also made the Ambassador for Peace by the Universal Peace Federation.


    DEATH

    He joined his ancestors to the great beyond on 29th December, 2022 after a brief illness. May his soul find rest in the bosom of the Almighty?
