Afro Pop is more than a genre of music, it’s a cultural movement that represents the dynamic spirit of Africa and with artistes like Manfesto in the picture, it’s certain the genre will experience more greatness.
Manfesto Festus who is popularly called Manfesto was born in 1976 with Edo/Delta origin. He is an Afro pop artiste with a burning passion for spreading the message of love across the globe through music.
From the tender age of 7, he became an active participant in the choir department of his church where he discovered his songwriting and music delivery skills. As a teenager, Manfesto would come through for the church with musical contents far beyond his age range.
After several music dieting, learning and unlearning the realities of the games and tricks of music business, Manfesto went ahead to release his first studio album titled “Abi Nor Be God?” In 1998.
The album met with lots of positive reviews and acceptance which paved the way for him to create a band group that performed at several events and musical shows across Nigeria.
Meanwhile, Manfesto achieved significant success for several years while manoeuvring the densely proliferated music space in Nigeria. This informed his decision to move beyond the shores of Nigeria to Spain where he professionally launched his musical career.
In 2010, Manfesto dropped his first album in Europe and since then, he has become a force to be reckoned with in the Afro pop music scene. His unique sound and soulful lyrics have won him multiple awards both in Nigeria and the diaspora.
Drawing inspiration from music legends like Kriss Kross, Plantashun Boiz, Timaya, 2Baba and a host of others, Manfesto’s ultimate goal is to spread love around the world with relatable songs accompanied by great messages and melodies.
Aside from his music career, Manfesto is also an entrepreneur with a keen interest in real estate. His music talent and never-give-up drive have been the major propeller of growth for him in the music industry.
With his new single “God Abeg”, it won’t be erroneous to conclude that Manfesto is one of the most versatile Afro-pop artistes of this generation.
