  • Ibadan Popular Vendor, Khadi, Found Dead in Wetland Hotel Under Disturbing Circumstances

  • The Ibadan business community has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of Adeshina Olayinka, widely known as Khadi, a well-known vendor and social personality in the city. She was discovered lifeless in a room at Wetland Hotel, Akobo, Oyo State, on Thursday morning.

According to sources, Khadi had informed a friend on Wednesday night that she was heading to Wetland Hotel to meet someone. The man she allegedly met with attempted to check out early the next morning. As part of standard procedure, the receptionist placed a call to Khadi to confirm her well-being before allowing the man to leave. She reportedly answered the call, assured the staff that she was fine, and said she would be checking out shortly.

However, concerns arose when a receptionist who had lent Khadi a power bank later went to retrieve it but got no response after repeated knocks. The hotel manager then used a spare key card to access the room, only to find her unresponsive.

While details surrounding her death remain unclear, some sources speculate foul play, with claims suggesting possible ritual involvement. Authorities are expected to conduct a full investigation to determine the circumstances that led to her tragic end.

May her soul rest in peace.
