    The ex-Minister of State, Mines and Steel Development, Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, has applauded the players of the Super Eagles of Nigeria on their resounding victory against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in a thrilling semi-final encounter in Ivory Coast.

    DAILY POST recalls that the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Wednesday, defeated the Bafana Bafana of South Africa 4:2 via penalty shootout to book a place in the final against Ivory Coast on Sunday.

    Ogah, while applauding the Super Eagles, charged them to replicate the same energy against the host country, Ivory Coast.

    He noted that the victory of the Super Eagles players against Bafana Bafana of South Africa was a morale-booster and also charged the team to sustain the momentum and return home with the prestigious trophy.

    According to him, “The victory of the Super Eagle of Nigeria over Bafana Bafana of South Africa, is one that redeems not only Nigeria’s football strength but also our image within the continent of Africa and beyond.

    The former minister also noted that football remains a unifying factor that binds everyone, regardless of ethnicity and religion.

    He admonished the Nigerian team players to maintain the tempo and expressed optimism that Nigeria will emerge victorious in the final African Cup of Nations game against Ivory Coast.
