A man, Yahaya Balarabe, has been arrested by the Adamawa Police Command for allegedly k!lling his friend and taking possession of his motorcycle

The police said in a statement that Balarabe also took from his deceased N20,000 he found on him.

The statement, signed by Police image maker Suleiman Ngurojs that the 25-year-old Yahaya Balarabe stabbed the friend, identified simply as Usman, untill he d!ed and made away with his things.

Nguroje stated that the suspect, who hails from Dage Village in Ganye Local Government Area, accompanied the friend to his farm supposedly to assist him in spraying herbicides.

The suspect instead attacked and k!lled Usman by stabbing him with a cutlass in the head and throwing the body in a gutter.

Nguroje said police operatives nabbed Balarabe after Usman’s family members reported the matter and material at the crime scene that linked Balarabe to the crime were recovered.

According to the police spokesman, Balarabe also voluntarily confessed to the crime, admitting that he was only interested in having Usman’s motorcycle and money.

“The Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, expressing concern over the unfortunate incident, commended operatives of Ganye Divisional Police headquarters for detecting the crime and making it impossible for the suspect to escape justice,” Nguroje stated.
