The Lagos State Police Command has stated that no formal report has been made regarding six girls allegedly missing after attending a house party in the Lekki area of Lagos State
In a viral one-minute video, a young woman claimed that seven women were invited to a party in Lekki, but the whereabouts of six are currently unknown. She explained that one of the women escaped after returning to their apartment to retrieve her forgotten wig. By the time she returned, the vehicle that brought them had already left with the others.
“Six girls in Lekki have gone missing. They were invited to a private house party, and no one has heard from them. Their phones are unreachable, and their friends can’t contact them. Only one survived because she went back to get her wig. Be careful meeting new people, especially on the island or in Lekki,” the lady warned, alleging the girls might have been taken for rituals.Reacting to the claims, Assistant Commissioner of Police for Area J Command (Elemoro), Oluyemisi Ojo, told Punch that no complaints matching the incident have been filed, but the police have launched an investigation.
“We have not received any reports of such. However, we are taking the initiative to locate the social media user who posted the information so we can gather more details,” Ojo stated.
