Hisbah Destroys 51 Cartons of Alcohol in Yobe

The Hisbah commission in Yobe state has destroyed not less than 51 Cartons of Alcohol in the state as well as 18 jerrycans of methylene chloride known as Madarar Sukurdai in the state.

In his statement on Wednesday, the commission’s chairman, Yahuza Abubakar, said the action was necessary to protect the faith of citizens over there.

According to the Islamic values and state’s law, the sells and/or use of alcohol is prohibited which is a major prompt to the action, he said.

Additionally, the chairman said that the commission amicably resolved 565 cases last year including family problems, business disagreements, inheritance issues, communal clashes, unpaid rents, farmer-herder disputes, and other forms of debt.
