In his statement on Wednesday, the commission’s chairman, Yahuza Abubakar, said the action was necessary to protect the faith of citizens over there.
According to the Islamic values and state’s law, the sells and/or use of alcohol is prohibited which is a major prompt to the action, he said.
Additionally, the chairman said that the commission amicably resolved 565 cases last year including family problems, business disagreements, inheritance issues, communal clashes, unpaid rents, farmer-herder disputes, and other forms of debt.
