Rivers Police Inspector Commits Suicide

The Rivers State police command has confirmed the sudden death of Inspector Maxwell Zabu who allegedly shot himself dead on the head.

According to the report, the tragic incident reportedly happened on Tuesday, 22nd April, in his residence at Eagle Island, Port Harcourt where he worked for a former Chairman.

Spokesperson to the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, who confirmed the incident said investigations are ongoing to ascertain what really happened.

While the circumstances surrounding Zabu’s death are unknown, the command’s Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, has ordered a transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), for more detailed investigation.
