The Federal Government has announced that the Nigerian Civil Service will go fully paperless by December 2025
This disclosure was made by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, during the National Council on Establishments meeting held in Bauchi.
According to her, all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are at various stages of digitalization and are expected to complete the transition before the end of next year.
She explained that the move is in line with the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021–2025, which aims to modernize government operations, eliminate paper-based workflows, and improve efficiency.
Yemi-Esan emphasized that a fully digitized civil service will not only reduce the cost of governance but also enhance transparency, speed up service delivery, and foster accountability.
