15 PHOTO FRAMES, ONE STORY, ONE SERVICE AND HUMILITY: OWERRI INTER-SCHOOL DEBATE COMPETITION: APPRECIATION TO ALL SUNDRY
Many years ago, I stumbled upon a boy with loads of ideas that could save his world. It saddens the hearts of his people to see he struggle to put words together in face of the sun, neither in mother tongue nor the Queen's language.
Sad days upon sad days, until one night of a scary dream: a picture of him walking down the Aisle; singing to millions of stars in the sky, was painted in 3D.
Surprisingly, as delusional and ironic his dream was, he continues to thread that path until one day he finds himself singing lullaby before millions of Stars. His dream did not only come true, but his dream birthed the dreams of rising Stars that fears to shine.
Dreams are like seeds of African dry-season, if not watered, it will die a natural death and find a place in cemetery of dreams. Folorunsho Ahmed Adekunle, the boy who have a dream says thank you to all sundry, presented and made the Owerri Inter-school Debate Competition and Poetry Slam a colourful success.
Thank you to the NIGERIA BAR ASSOCIATION (OWERRI BRANCH), not only for investing in my dream of Service to the Nation, but also for watering seed Talents to grow, and building a sky for rising Stars among Owerri Students to shine.
Big thanks to the schools who honored the invitation of NYSC. And to the Parents of these students, I am confident you have given your children the best legacy (Education). I hope that someday, in my comfort zone I will read these Teen-Orators and Poets and their greatness.
My LGI, my NYSC and Imo State Mother, thank you for your supports and guidance in the quest for success of all my CDS Projects, so far.
Special appreciation to HYPO Nigeria (Owerri Branch) for their heavy quotas and partnership. And to my team of volunteer Corps Members, friends and Imo State NYSC family (2024 Batch B) who has been encouraging me so far in all my FOUR-TIERS CDS PROJECTS, hearty thanks to you all!
