Billboard has released its list of the Top 50 Best Afrobeats Songs of All-Time, with 2Face’s classic “African Queen” claiming the number one spot
Wizkid is the only artist with two songs in the top 10, placing “Ojuelegba” at number 2 and “Essence” featuring Tems at number 5.
Other top 10 entries include Favour’s “Nwa Baby (Ashawo Remix)” at number 3, Rema’s “Calm Down” at number 4, and CKay’s “Love Nwantiti” at number 6.While Nigerian artists dominate the list, Ghanaian stars Fuse ODG and Sarkodie also feature, with “Azonto” featuring Itz Tiffany at number 18 and “Adonai” featuring Castro at number 19.
Yemi Alade is the highest-ranked female lead artist with “Johnny” at number 15.
Other notable songs in the top 20 include Styl-Plus’ “Olufunmi” at number 11, 9ice’s “Gongo Aso” at number 12, and P-Square’s “Do Me” at number 13.
The list also highlights hits from Wande Coal, Phyno, and Davido, underscoring the diversity and richness of Afrobeats music.
