TO FULFIL ₦6 MILLION PROMISE
In December 2024, Richie Music
Empire hosted the Kogi Talent Hunt, a groundbreaking talent discovery event
aimed at empowering young creatives across the state. Staying true to its
promise, the label has now returned to deliver ₦6 million in cash prizes to the
competition’s top three winners — ₦3 million for the winner, ₦2 million for the
first runner-up, and ₦1 million for the second runner-up.
Representing the label’s CEO, Don
Richie Ifeanyi Ogbuehi, was Amb. Dr. Sameera Abubakar Abdullahi, the National
Coordinator of NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs (NYE), who served as the Special
Guest of Honour.
Also in attendance were Mr. Abiola
Stephen, Record Label Manager, and other executives from Richie Music Empire,
alongside the Chairman of Kogi Carnival and members of Hon. Jumabee’s team, led
by Generous, a respected entertainment figure in Kogi State.
In her address, Amb. Dr. Sameera
Abubakar Abdullahi praised Richie Music Empire for setting a high standard in
youth empowerment and creative development, emphasizing that the act was “not
just about the money, but about confidence, opportunity, and inspiration for
the next generation.”
Mr. Abiola Stephen, speaking on
behalf of the label, appreciated the people of Kogi for their warm reception
and urged the winners to remain consistent, disciplined, and passionate about
their craft.
“We believe in supporting talent
wherever it is found. This initiative is part of our broader mission to use

the debut single by Madi Kid, who now goes by the name Qing Madi.
The soulful record — written and
produced under Richie Music Empire — highlights Madi Kid’s emotional depth,
lyrical storytelling, and early Afro-fusion sound that captivated audiences
from the start. “Runaway” explores themes of freedom, self-discovery, and
resilience, marking her official entry into Nigeria’s vibrant music scene.
Although Qing Madi has since moved
on to JTown Music Management, Richie Music Empire remains proud of its role in
developing her artistry.
