  • ANGRICAN VENERABLE EDWIN ACHI AND WIFE KIDNAPPED IN KADUNA — ABDUCTORS DEMAND ₦600 MILLION RANSOM

  • The insecurity crisis in Nigeria has taken yet another disturbing turn as Ven. Edwin Achi of the Anglican Communion, Diocese of Kaduna, and his wife, Mrs. Sarah Achi, remain in captivity after being kidnapped on 28th October 2025.

Ven. Achi, a native of Umuaja in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State, was abducted alongside his wife in Kaduna. Nearly a month later, there is still no breakthrough, while the kidnappers have shockingly demanded a ₦600,000,000 ransom for their release.

A photo released by the abductors shows the couple alongside other innocent victims, revealing that this horrifying incident is part of a broader wave of violent abductions sweeping through the region. This is not an isolated attack — it reflects the worsening security situation affecting families and communities nationwide.

Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu, of the Safe City Foundation, has issued a passionate call to action:

“I am calling on the Federal Government, the Kaduna State Government, and all relevant security agencies to act swiftly and decisively. This situation is unacceptable. Every day these victims remain in captivity is another day of trauma and uncertainty for their families and communities. The Government must intervene immediately to secure their safe release.”

As the country awaits urgent government action, families and loved ones continue to live in fear, hoping for the safe return of the abducted victims.
