  • Deacon’s Ordination Suspended After Cruel Blackmail — Truth Triumphs as He Is Ordained a Catholic Priest on November 20, 2025
  • What should have been a season of joy for a young Catholic deacon turned into days of anguish and uncertainty after a cruel and calculated lie was used to sabotage his journey to priesthood. Just ten days before his priestly ordination, his name was dragged into a scandal that never existed.

A man identified as Uchenna Nzewunwa reportedly created a fake Facebook profile using the name Joyce Fredo with the username Frank John. From this fake account, he published a false allegation, claiming the deacon impregnated his supposed girlfriend and forced her into an abortion. The shocking twist? The woman never existed. The entire story was manufactured from beginning to end.

Further investigation revealed that Uchenna was well-known in the parish for multiple theft-related incidents. After being caught and sternly warned by the parish priest never to return, he allegedly vowed to “deal with” the deacon, who had unknowingly become the target of his bitterness.
Immediately after the Diocese released the official list of candidates for priestly ordination, Uchenna launched his fabricated story online, aiming to destroy the deacon’s reputation and halt his ordination.

In line with the Church’s commitment to integrity and transparency, the Diocese temporarily suspended the ordination and opened a thorough investigation. After careful review, witnesses’ accounts, and verification of facts, the deacon was completely exonerated. The allegations were proven to be malicious, baseless, and fueled solely by revenge.

Realizing his plot had failed, Uchenna deleted the defamatory post and added a flimsy excuse before disappearing from public view.

The incident triggered outrage among Catholics and members of the public, many condemning the act as wicked and inhumane. One parishioner expressed disbelief that a person would go to such lengths to destroy another man’s sacred calling simply because he had been corrected for wrongdoing.
He made a grave mistake trying to destroy someone’s vocation instead of changing his own ways,” the parishioner said.

On November 20, 2025, the painful chapter ended in victory. The deacon who was slandered, shamed, and temporarily delayed was finally ordained a Catholic Priest. His story stands as a reminder that lies may delay destiny, but they cannot destroy it.
