  • Heartbreaking Story: Woman Shares Painful Experience of Domestic Abuse During Pregnancy

  • An anonymous woman has shared a deeply emotional story of the abuse and hardship she endured during her pregnancy, in a post originally published on Becky’s Facebook page.
According to the woman, throughout her nine-month pregnancy, the man she called her husband showed her no love, care, or concern. He never asked how she was feeling or how the baby was developing. Instead, he constantly fought with her, kept malice for weeks, and waited for her to kneel down and beg before peace could return to their home.

“For nine months, I was living as if I got pregnant by myself,” she wrote.

She revealed how she carried every responsibility alone — cooking, cleaning, taking her daughter to and from school, attending hospital appointments, and running errands — while her husband stayed at home doing nothing. Yet, when she returned tired and in pain, he would still complain and act angry.

Even as her pregnancy advanced, he reportedly insulted her and her late parents, raining curses and saying hurtful things like wishing death upon her and her unborn baby.

Three weeks before her delivery date, things got worse. The woman said her husband poured soup on her, ignored her when she vomited, and showed more concern for another woman than for his pregnant wife.

One morning, I vomited and he just hissed and slept off,” she recounted.
“Later, I saw a message where he told another lady he wanted to get her medicine for a headache because she burst a pimple.”

Despite being ignored, she continued to prepare for the baby’s arrival on her own — washing baby clothes, setting up the bed, and packing her hospital bag.

However, two days before her scheduled Cesarean section, another violent incident occurred. When she tried to leave the room to avoid confrontation, her husband blocked the door, slapped her twice, and dislocated her wrist.

She was forced to call the police for her safety. Shortly after the officers arrived, she realized she could no longer feel her baby move.

“Will nine months just waste like that? Just two days to delivery — is this how it will end for me?” she cried.

The police called an ambulance, and she was rushed to the hospital. Doctors discovered her blood pressure was dangerously high and immediately began monitoring her and the baby.

On the day of her surgery, her injured hand made treatment difficult, and she lost consciousness during the procedure. She was placed on oxygen, but thankfully, both mother and baby survived.

Reflecting on the ordeal, she said she had heard stories about men from her husband’s tribe but never believed them until she experienced it firsthand.
