  • “I Was Mentally Becoming Her Slave” — Woman Narrates Why She Cut Off Her Rich Friend After Years of One-Sided Friendship

  • A young entrepreneur has shared a powerful story about breaking free from a toxic, one-sided friendship where she felt mentally enslaved simply because her friend was richer and more successful.

According to her, she blocked her wealthy friend on WhatsApp late last year after realizing the relationship had damaged her self-esteem and peace of mind.

“She Would Call Me Anytime, and I’d Rush to Help”

The lady explained that her rich friend constantly made demands, expecting favors and help at any time—yet she never reciprocated. Whenever she needed assistance, her friend would:

    Ignore her messages

    Pretend to be unavailable

Read her chats and say nothing

    Or simply disappear

Whenever confronted, the friend would apologize and promise to change—but never did.

    The Last Straw

Late last year, they were involved in an important business deal. She kept calling and messaging her friend to play her part, but the rich friend ignored everything.

Realizing that nothing had changed and that she was being used again, she cancelled the deal and blocked her on every communication platform.

    > “She was clearly using me and making me look stupid. I later realized I had become mentally enslaved—maybe because she was richer or more successful.”

Surprisingly, the friend never reached out, confirming to her that she didn’t care.

A Call After One Year and Two Months

Last week, an unknown number called her at work. The moment she picked up, she recognized her friend’s voice.

    The friend asked:

“Why did you block me everywhere? What exactly did I do?”

The question angered her, because she believed the woman was still trying to manipulate her intelligence. She told her to figure it out and hung up.

The friend later called back, apologizing and giving excuses. She begged to be unblocked—and she was.

“She Came Back Because of Another Deal”

Just yesterday, the rich friend called proposing a new deal. She refused immediately.

Shocked, the friend asked to meet in person, but she declined again.

    > “I told her I don’t have time. She only came back because of another deal. Once bitten, thrice shy. I’m done taking rubbish.

She firmly told the friend they could remain as distant acquaintances at best—just “Good morning” and “Good night,” nothing more.

Despite additional messages claiming she had changed, the woman said she no longer believes it.

    > “The child of a snake is still a snake. That is just her nature.”

    A Message to Others

The woman used her experience to advise others—especially women—never to allow themselves to be mentally controlled or emotionally drained by anyone, no matter their wealth or status.

“If people are not giving you the same energy you give them, let them go. You will be fine. Don’t let anybody enslave your mind just because they are richer. You deserve the best. Humility is not the same as being a fool.”

She added that she is not suffering—her tomato business is doing well, and she is committed to improving her life, getting a better job, and striving for better opportunities.
