  • LADY HEARTBROKEN AS BROTHER LIES ABOUT WIFE’S HEALTH TO DUPLICATE HER OF MONEY

  • A young lady has shared the shocking experience she recently had with her elder brother, revealing the painful burden of entitlement within some families.

According to her, her brother reached out on WhatsApp claiming that his wife was sick and had been admitted to the hospital. He pleaded for financial assistance to settle the medical bills.

Moved with compassion, she sent ₦50,000, which was all she could afford at that moment.

But instead of gratitude, her brother replied with disappointment, questioning why she sent “just 50k,” insisting he expected between ₦500,000 to ₦1 million.

What broke her the most was the fact that she is the last born in the family. She has older siblings who could easily contribute financially, yet the pressure always falls on her. She explained that when she was making efforts to travel abroad, none of her siblings supported her. She had to borrow money to fund her travel, and only recently finished repaying the loan.

Despite being the youngest, she receives no financial or emotional support from her older siblings.

Currently, she works abroad as a live-in maid. She has no personal room—she sleeps in the kitchen, and her clothes are also kept there. She also shoulders the responsibility of sending money home every month for the upkeep of her mother and her child.

Yet her brother expected her to produce ₦1 million.

What made the situation even more heartbreaking was her discovery that the brother’s wife was never sick. He fabricated the story just to get money from her.

She said if she were to follow her mind, she would block his number because entitlement has destroyed many family relationships. Some relatives feel overly entitled to money they never worked for.

What are your thoughts on this situation?
