A heartbreaking video surfaced online this morning showing the lifeless body of a woman identified as Chidimma, who reportedly d!ed earlier this week in Aba alongside her newborn baby after a Caesarean section gone wrong.
According to eyewitnesses, the CS was conducted in shocking and heartbreaking conditions — no proper hospital bed, no electricity, just a torchlight and a wooden plank serving as equipment in what was supposed to be a theatre.
The disturbing clip has sparked nationwide outrage as many Nigerians continue to mourn and question the level of healthcare available to pregnant women across the country.
The writer who shared the story said:
“I cried and then spat on poverty! Women are losing their lives daily either because of carelessness or complications during childbirth and it’s a pity.”
