  • Wife Arrested After Allegedly Hiring Young Boys to Kill Her Husband Over Missing ₦400,000
  • A shocking incident from Kaduna has taken over social media after a woman allegedly confessed to hiring young boys to take the life of her husband—all because she mismanaged the ₦400,000 he had given her to start a business.

According to reports, the woman—whose identity has not yet been officially released—claimed that her husband entrusted her with the money to support her financially and help her build a stable business. However, the money “melted,” and rather than approaching her husband responsibly to explain her predicament, she allegedly took a darker route.
    The Plot

Sources say the woman contacted the boys seen in the trending photo and offered them ₦80,000 to carry out the act. She reportedly paid them ₦50,000 upfront and promised to complete the balance after the three-day mourning rites.

As part of the plan, she allegedly gave the boys ₦5,000 to buy certain pills, which she later dissolved in water and gave her husband to drink. Once he fell into a deep sleep, she reportedly invited the boys to proceed with the attack.

    Failed Execution and Dramatic Escape

The boys, described as inexperienced and uncoordinated, allegedly stabbed the man in the chest but realized he was still alive. In a desperate attempt to finish the job, the wife reportedly tried to suffocate him with a pillow.

    But fate intervened.

The husband, still conscious, overpowered her and cried out for help. Neighbors rushed to the scene, leading to the arrest of both the alleged attackers and the woman behind the plot.

    Reactions

The incident has left many Nigerians shaken, calling it one of the most disturbing domestic betrayal stories of the year.

Rasheeda Noro Yahaya, who reported the story on November 18, 2025, wrote:

    > “Ya Allah, may you guide, guard, and preserve our hearts from ever orchestrating such a devilish scheme, Ameen.

Community reactions also include warnings to men to be cautious in certain relationships, with one online commentator noting:

    > “As a man, the fewer women that have access to you in Nigeria, the higher your survival rate. What scares me the most is that she might not even go to jail.”

    A Call for Reflection

This incident serves as a painful reminder of the dangerous extremes some individuals may resort to. Many are using the story to advocate for better conflict resolution, emotional accountability, and the need to simply walk away rather than resort to violence.

Authorities in Kaduna are still investigating the case, and further updates are expected.
